2. Kanji Pattern — 着

The kanji 着（き・ちゃく）means "to wear / clothing." It combines with directional prefixes to make clothing words:

3. Grammar & Sentences

Verb ない form ＋でください — Please don't do ~

To politely ask someone not to do something:

Structure: Verb (ない form, drop い) + ないでください
Example: 歯ブラシを忘れないでください。(Haburashi wo wasurenaide kudasai.) — "Please don't forget (to bring) a toothbrush."
Example: 充電器を忘れないでください。(Juudenki wo wasurenaide kudasai.) — "Please do not forget (to bring) a charger."

て form ＋おく — Doing something in advance (revision)

Example: かばんに下着とはブラシとじゅう電きを入れておきました。(Kaban ni shitagi to haburashi to juudenki wo irete okimashita.) — "I put some underwear, a toothbrush and a charger in my bag (in advance)."
Example: 旅行の前に、新しいせっけんを買っておきました。(Ryokoo no mae ni, atarashii sekken wo katte okimashita.) — "Before the trip, I bought some new soap (in advance)."

Passive — 作られる (to be made from):

Example: このシャンプーとせっけんは花から作られます。(Kono shanpuu to sekken wa hana kara tsukuraremasu.) — "This shampoo and soap are made from flowers."
Note: The wrong choices for blanks were タオル (towel) and けしゴム (rubber).

旅行の前に、新しいせっけんを買っておきました。	Ryokoo no mae ni, atarashii sekken wo katte okimashita.	Before the trip, I bought some new soap (in advance).
このシャンプーとせっけんは花から作られます。	Kono shanpuu to sekken wa hana kara tsukuraremasu.	This shampoo and soap are made from flowers.
かばんの中にはブラシを入れたと思います。	Kaban no naka ni haburashi wo ireta to omoimasu.	I think I put a toothbrush in my bag.
歯ブラシを忘れないでください。	Haburashi wo wasurenaide kudasai.	Please don't forget (to bring) a toothbrush.
充電器を忘れないでください。	Juudenki wo wasurenaide kudasai.	Please do not forget (to bring) a charger.
充電器を貸してください。スマホを充電したいです。	Juudenki wo kashite kudasai. Sumaho wo juudenshi tai desu.	Please lend me a charger. I want to charge my smartphone.
寒いかもしれません。上着を持っていきます。	Samui kamo shiremasen. Uwagi wo motte ikimasu.	It might be cold. I'll take a coat with me.
旅行かばんに下着を入れました。	Ryokoo kaban ni shitagi wo iremashita.	I put some underwear in my travel bag.
下着はかばんに入れましたが、上着は入れませんでした。	Shitagi wa kaban ni iremashita ga, uwagi wa iremasen deshita.	I put some underwear in my bag, but I didn't put my coat in.
水着を買って、海に行く準備をしました。	Mizugi wo katte, umi ni iku junbi wo shimashita.	I bought some swimwear and prepared to go to the beach.
水着とタオルを持って、海に泳ぎに行きました。	Mizugi to taoru wo motte, umi ni oyogi ni ikimashita.	We took swimwear and towels and went to swim in the sea.
かばんに下着とはブラシとじゅう電きを入れておきました。	Kaban ni shitagi to haburashi to juudenki wo irete okimashita.	I put some underwear, a toothbrush and a charger in my bag (in advance).
